Thursday 16 November - ABATE FETEL: INCREASED YIELDS FOR BETTER PRODUCTIVITY.

World operators debating on the top Italian cultivar.
This will include a debate among Italian and international researchers and experts in the pear industry on the techniques for increasing productivity in fruit growing. Abate Fetel is the top variety of Italian pears but, over recent years, the average yields per hectare have stabilised, limiting growers’ productivity. The aim of the convention is to find new strategies for reaching gross saleable production that can cover the production costs and generate a fair income for pear growers.
